One of our professional book-layout specialists will create a custom interior for your book. This interior will include chapter titles, headings, page numbers and other layout details that will ensure your book meets industry standards. During this process the designer will change your manuscript’s margins to fit your chosen book size. We strongly recommend changing the margins yourself so you can see how the text will look in the dimensions of your final book. When the margins change, your text will shift, causing lines to break in new places. Setting the final margins is the best way to catch and correct common formatting errors that could delay your book’s production, so we highly recommend it.
The layout designer will also insert images/tables/formulae (up to the number of image insertions included in your package) and conduct minimal manuscript cleanup during this process.
To ensure that any images and/or tables you submit to us come out clear and crisp in your book, please follow these requirements:
Submitted separately from your manuscript as a TIFF (.tif) file format or PDF (.pdf)
Written copyright permission from the creator (artist, photographer, etc.) to use the work on your book cover.
Exception to the requirements: sample graphics and other illustrations that will only be used as ideas or guidelines for the design team can be submitted in any format.
